Looking for answers? The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over ten, thought-provoking weekly sessions. ALL are welcome!
Alpha is a brilliant course designed for people who want to find the answers to really important questions in life. It has helped thousands of people, and Alpha is for everyone, Christian and non-christian alike.
The videos will be entertaining and stimulating to anyone interested in finding more about the Christian faith. They form the backbone of the 10 week Alpha course, which has now grown to over 24,000 courses running in churches of all denominations around the world.
The informal Alpha course, which tackles many of those difficult questions surrounding relationships and the meaning of life, is a practical and contemporary introduction to the Christian faith and provides a relaxed non-pressurised opportunity for participants to make up their own mind about Christianity. Listen, learn, discuss. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple, silly or controversial.
We share a meal at the beginning of each session, which gives us an opportunity to get to know each other.
The sessions cover the following questions:
- Christianity: Boring, Untrue and Irrelevant?
- Who is Jesus?
- Why did Jesus die?
- How can I be sure of my faith?
- Why and how should I read the Bible?
- Why and how should I pray?
- How does God guide us?
- Who is the Holy Spirit?
- What does the Holy Spirit do?
- How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?
- How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
- How can I resist evil?
- Why and how should I tell others?
- Does God heal today?
- What about the Church?
