Kids

We continue to develop our ministry to our children. We want to affirm the importance of them in the life of All Saints, to give them a place of honour in our worship, and to teach them about Jesus and the Christian life. Welcome to our Young Saints Club!

WHAT'S ON

Christmas Workshop

Look out for our announcement about this year's Christmas 2007 workshop.

There'll be lots of activities and things to make as part of finding out about the Christmas story!

Looking ahead ...

Watch this space for future activities.

Kids' activities

For CrALL SAINTS there are toys and activities available in the vestry at the back of the church during our morning worship. The SmALL SAINTS and TALL SAINTS groups meet up in the church at the start of the Sunday service and then go over to the Technology College, which is next door to the church, for their own activities. Once a month we are together as a family for All-Age worship, which happens on the first Sunday of every month. We encourage our children and adults to take an active part in this service.

Our AIMs are to:

  • PROVIDE opportunities for our children to hear, receive and respond to what God wants to offer them through His word in the Bible.
  • ENCOURAGE children to come to know and love His Son Jesus.
  • HELP children live for God as LIGHT in a dark world.

We PROVIDE opportunities for teaching through use of the Scripture Union LIGHT Material - BUBBLES (3 - 6) and SPLASH (7 - 11).

We ENCOURAGE the children to explore the Bible and the life of Jesus through:

  • Stories
  • Games
  • Play
  • Movement and Drama
  • Music
  • Crafts
Christmas Workshop 2005 at St Helen's

Several times a year we organise workshops for children at nearby St Helen's Church in the High Street. The Christmas Workshop is always very popular and all children are welcome when a wide range of activities are provided and the children enjoy taking home the things they have made. Some of the things they have made are often used in our informal services.

Our leaders and helpers are subject to checking with the Criminal Records Bureau as part of our child protection policy.

Our children are not just our future - they are also our present. We hope and pray that more and more families with young children will keep coming to All Saints. They are always given a great welcome.

COME ALONG!
