We’re looking for a Youth Ministry Trainee to join the team at All Saints Worcester.

This is a role for someone who is ready to lead, learn and grow. You’ll be trusted with meaningful responsibility within the youth ministry, while being supported by others who carry the wider weight of the ministry. It’s a chance to develop in leadership, discipleship, pastoral care and mission without being left to figure it all out alone.

About us

All Saints Worcester is a growing charismatic evangelical Anglican church with a congregation of around 300. We exist to enable one another to Follow Jesus, Build Community and Love Worcester.

We are part of the New Wine network and have been designated a resourcing church within the Diocese of Worcester.

About the role

Part Time — 18 hours per week**
12-month fixed-term contract

As Youth Ministry Trainee, you’ll help young people aged 11–18 encounter Jesus, grow as His disciples, and find their place in the life of the church.

The role will include helping prepare and deliver youth ministry on Sunday’s, supporting midweek discipleship spaces and socials, building healthy relationships with young people, and playing an active part in the wider worshipping life of All Saints Worcester.

**The salary is £26,208  full-time equivalent (pro rata), which equates to £12,590 per annum based on 18 hours per week.

A usual week might look like

  • You’ll be part of creating spaces where young people can explore faith, ask honest questions, pray, worship, and grow as disciples of Jesus.

  • Sundays will be a key part of the role. You’ll help plan, prepare and deliver engaging youth sessions, contributing to teaching, activities, small groups, discussion and prayer ministry.

  • You’ll support midweek Bible studies, discipleship spaces and social events that help young people build friendships, invite others, engage with Scripture and stay connected.

  • This is a trainee role, so your development matters. You’ll meet regularly with your line manager for supervision, feedback, reflection and support as you grow in confidence, leadership and ministry.

  • You’ll be part of the wider staff team and worshipping life of All Saints Worcester, including staff meetings, planning conversations, all-age gatherings and occasional wider church events.

  • You’ll help with appropriate communication with young people, parents, carers and volunteers, making sure people know what’s happening and feel included.

We’re looking for someone who is

  • A committed Christian with a desire to grow in relationship with Jesus.

  • Passionate about helping young people explore faith and follow Jesus.

  • Reliable, teachable and willing to learn.

  • Able to build positive and appropriate relationships with young people.

  • Comfortable working as part of a team.

  • Open to feedback and keen to grow in leadership.

  • You may already have some experience in youth ministry, church ministry, schools work or community work. You may also be wondering whether youth ministry could be part of your longer-term calling.
