Friday 5th - Sunday 7th June 2026
Poplars, Ledbury
The Big Weekend is an invitation to step away from the usual pace of life and gather as a church — to be reconnected, refreshed, and rekindled by the presence of Jesus.
There are moments when Jesus doesn’t call us forward — He calls us closer. In John’s Gospel, He meets His friends not with a plan or a strategy, but with a fire already burning on the shore. Breakfast. Questions. Restoration. No performance. No hurry. Just presence.
The Big Weekend is our way of stepping toward that kind of space — stepping away from the noise and making room for Him to meet us again. It’s time to sit, to listen, to pray without watching the clock, and to remember who He is before we rush to decide what we must do. If you’re weary, hopeful, expectant, or simply hungry for more, come and be by the fire.
“The Big Weekend enabled me to have my first real, connected conversations with others, some of whom I've been acquainted with for ages but not had the chance to properly connect with. ”
— Dan
Guest Speakers
We’re delighted to be welcoming Owen and Laura Gallagher back to All Saints for the whole of the weekend.
Owen and Laura are now Lead Pastors of St Thomas Church in Swansea, but for many of us they’re not just guests — they’re family. Owen served here first as Curate and then as Associate, and Laura pioneered and continues to lead Prisca Peach with creativity and courage. Their years with us shaped so much of who we are.
They carry a deep love for Jesus, a passion for the local church, and a steady desire to make Him known. Across the weekend they’ll be investing in us not just through teaching, but through presence — sharing meals, praying, listening, and being with us. They’ll be joining us with their family, which makes it feel all the more like a homecoming.
We’re so grateful they’re coming.
Programme
Across the weekend we’ll gather for worship, teaching, prayer, and unhurried time together. There will be space to respond, to receive ministry, to share meals, and to simply enjoy being church family away from the usual pace of life. Children and youth will have their own sessions woven into the rhythm of the weekend, and there’ll be margin built in to rest, walk, talk, and reflect. You can view the full programme by clicking here.
Something for the Whole Family
The Big Weekend is a chance for families to get away together, slow down, have fun, and make space for Jesus.
We want this to be a weekend where little ones are excited to be there, grown ups can breathe a little deeper, and the whole family can enjoy sharing life with the wider church community.
Across the weekend, there’ll be plenty for children and families to enjoy, including age-specific discipleship sessions, all-age worship, inflatables, craft activities, cinema nights, bedtime stories, a children’s party and lots of outdoor space to roam and play.
What families can look forward to

Our Venue:
The Poplars
The Big Weekend will be hosted at The Poplars — a site with a rich and quietly beautiful history. The earliest recorded house on the land dates back to 1246, and many of the farm buildings were built between the 17th and 18th centuries.
Set within active farmland and open countryside, The Poplars carries something of its story in the landscape — orchards, fields, and space to breathe. Today it serves as a centre for large Christian gatherings, making it a fitting place for us to come away together.
